Jamie is going to leave Hong Kong for a holiday, and a ground staff (地勤人員) is helping him to check in.
Jamie: Excuse me (不好意思), is this where I check in for flight number (航班編號) CX 135? I am a Marco Polo club member
Ground Staff: Yes, may I have your passport (護照), please?
Jamie: Here you go (給你).
Ground Staff: Do you have a seating preference (喜好)?
Jamie: Yes, I’d like to sit near a window, please.
Ground Staff: No problem. Mr. Cheuk, do you have any luggage (行李) that you’d like to check in at this time?
Jamie: Yes, this one, please. Could you help me mark this bag as ‘fragile (易碎)’?
Ground Staff: OK, please place your bag on the scale (磅).
Jamie: Is there a layover
Ground Staff: Yes, in Taipei (台北), for 8 hours.
Jamie: Do I need to pick up my luggage there?
Ground Staff: No, it’ll go straight through to Melbourne (墨爾本). Here is your boarding pass (登機證) - your flight leaves from gate 70 and it’ll start boarding (開始登機) at 6:30 pm. Your seat number is 36G and it’s a window seat. As our club member, you may enjoy the lounge (貴賓室) before your flight.
Ground Staff: Have a pleasant flight
1. luggage vs baggage
2. layover vs stopover
Here you go vs There you go
Here you go是指給一樣物品對方
例如：Do you want this water bottle? Here you go.（給你這個水樽。）
There you go是指對方已經收到物品
例如：There you go. Hope you like that water bottle.（希望你喜歡那個水樽。）
There you go. You don’t need my advice. You can figure it out by yourself.（看！
go straight through to 直接轉送
